With their large windows, their grand rooms with their high ceilings, kept warm in the winter and cool in the summer thanks to their thick walls of brick and stone. These impressive buildings from the 18th century were built to stand the test of time, but if there’s one thing the Georgians failed to take into account, it was how their grand visions would prove so disruptive to WiFi signals a couple of centuries later.
Not a problem for us at all, with creative and sensitive planning and an attention to detail, Thames Valley WiFi can overcome these challenges and install modern network infrastructure, delivering strong WiFi coverage throughout, even in Grade II Listed buildings such as today’s project.
Tucked in that tiny cupboard, in the corner, at floor level, with almost metre thick walls between it and the rest of the building, the poor little router had absolutely no chance and the building was almost completely devoid of WiFi coverage. In just two days, we installed a small network and a pair of WiFi access points to deliver good coverage throughout. Installing this neat little cabinet in a disused store room also gives them the opportunity to quickly add additional network ports and access points as needed in the future.
